CHN481/581 Pedagogical Grammar

The primary goal of this course is to introduce students to theoretically grounded pedagogical approaches to Mandarin Chinese as a foreign language. Specific topics include theoretical models and methodology, teaching  tones and intonation, teaching characters, teaching morphology and  words, teaching syntactic constructions, teaching discourse pragmatics,  and culture in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
