CHN 421 Intermediate Language Strategies

In addressing natural sciences, we introduce topics from biology, chemistry, computer and information sciences, geography, human physiology, psychology, and general science. Our studies focus on applied knowledge from the research of these fields and on training students with basic literacy of the field to engage in future studies. Topics include environmental pollution, green chemistry, new energy, global warming, clean water crisis, women and health issues, Chinese medicine, animal science, and new technology. By the end of the course, students should be familiar with local and international efforts in China’s public and private sectors and how and why they are working to affect change.
