As a PhD student in EALL, Lin Zhu’s research focuses on Chinese syntax and semantics. He has been working on a project about conceptual metaphors related to fu (father) and mu (mother) from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. His other research interests include construction grammar, grammaticalization theory, and SLA. He also works as GE for Chinese language classes and the Chinese Flagship Program at University of Oregon.
